Description

Do you want to make jewellery? This course gives you a broad knowledge of materials and the techniques that are used when making jewellery.

On this course you learn:

- how to design and make jewellery
- specialist techniques such as sawing, filing, soldering, forging and texturing, cleaning and polishing

Teaching/learning methods are through practical demonstrations and student activities – you learn by doing, and by practising the processes on an individual basis at your own pace.

There is no formal assessment but your progress is monitored to encourage personal development and progression of skill level.

There are no qualifications with this course, it is non-accredited.

Some experience of jewellery and metals would be useful but not essential as you work at your own pace and level.

Equipment is available in our jewellery/metals workshop and specialist metals can be bought from the tutor.
