If you want to make jewellery, this session gives you introductory knowledge of the materials and the techniques that are used.

On this course you learn about:

- designing and making jewellery
- specialist techniques such as sawing, filing, soldering, forging and texturing, cleaning and polishing

Teaching/learning methods are through practical demonstrations and student activities – you learn by doing, and by practising the processes on an individual basis at your own pace.

There is no formal assessment but your progress is monitored.

Equipment is available in our jewellery/metals workshop and specialist metals can be bought from the tutor.
