Electrical installations BS 7671: 2008 (Green 17th edition book)
are covered on this course.
It consists of classroom instruction and a multiple-choice online
test.
The test is 'open book' which means that during the two-hour exam,
you can refer to the 17th edition book. There are eight units that
make up the course, relating to Parts 1-7 and the Appendices of BS
7671:2008. The units are:
- Scope object and fundamental principles
- Definitions
- Assessment of general characteristics
- Protection for safety
- Selection and erection of equipment
- Inspection and testing
- Special installations or locations
- Appendices, including the new sections: Electromagnetic
Disturbance, Surge Protection, Medical Locations Operating and
Maintenance Gangways
Assessment is through presentation discussion, homework and group
work.
After this course you gain the ability to use the new regulations.
This is an update course so familiarity with 16th Edition regulations is required.
Test and Inspection 2392 or 2391 are options if you are experienced in test and inspection
You need a copy of the BS7671:2008 incorporating amendment no.1 (green book) before attending this course.
