About This Course:

This full-time course offers you the opportunity to learn about the basic creative and technical aspects of a range of photographic specialisms. The course covers the key photographic skills for students who want to learn the fundamentals of photography, working in a photo studio and on location. This NC course is project based designed to help you become a better photographer. Successful students have an excellent opportunity to progress to higher level photography courses.

  • Photographic experience demonstrated by showing examples of your photography.
  • You will be invited to attend a pre-entry guidance session where you will have the opportunity to show some examples of your photography.

More Information

What You Study:

The subjects you’ll study include: Basic Camera Techniques, Photography: Digital Imaging, Portraiture, Basic Studio Photography, Monochrome Film Processing and Printing, Product Photography and Introduction to Close-Up Photography.

After The Course:

Career

Technical assistants, trainees and jobs in the photographic retail trade.

Continuing study

Apply for HND Photography course at this college. You could then go on to our BA (Hons) Photography Degree, which we offer in conjunction with the University of the West of Scotland. Some of our students take the opportunity to start their Photography education at NQ and progress to Honours level Degree study.

One year, starting in August.
