About This Course:This course equips you with a qualification which is highly regarded by the electronics and related industries and also enables progression to higher education. In recent years many of our students have been recruited by very prestigious companies.
The course develops your skills in the principles and technologies of electrical, analogue electronics and digital electronics systems. It also covers programming. You’ll learn how to approach high-level language or assembly language programming in a structured way, for applications in a microprocessor or embedded system.
The course reinforces the theory with practical work and demonstrations.

What You Need:- NC in an appropriate engineering subject, OR
- Two Higher Grades – Maths and one other (we’d prefer Physics)
- Before we offer you a place, we’ll invite you to an interview.

What You Study:You will cover several different areas such as electronic construction skills, printed circuit board design utilising industry standard software, programmable logic controllers again of industry standard, and IT applications.
Some of the subjects you’ll study are Electronic Testing Skills, Combinational Logic, Sequential Logic, AC/DC Principles, Electrical Networks & Resonance, and Analogue Electronic Principles.
After The Course:Career
Electronics technician in electronic manufacture and service industries, including construction, installation and repair of electronic equipment and systems.
Continuing study
Apply for final year of HND Electronics at the college or related degree courses at university.
How Long:One year, starting in August.
