Exceptional sports facilities What will I Study? Year 1 of the course is made up of 10 units - 4 compulsory and 6 specialised. The specialist units enable you to study particular areas in-depth. The four core units are chosen from: Principles of Anatomy and Physiology in Sport, The Physiology of Fitness, Assessing Risk in Sport, Fitness Testing, Exercise Health & Lifestyle. There are three specialised subjects from: Fitness Training, Sports Psychology, Sports Development, Nutrition, Outdoor Adventure. How will I be Taught? The course will be theory bases sessions delivered in the classroom and practical sports sessions. There is also a compulsory 2 week work experience module in the 2nd year. How will I be Assessed? All units are assessed via coursework and an overall grade for the qualification awarded (Pass, Merit, Distinction criteria).
