The GCE AS Level Applied Science is designed to explore the relevance of science in the world of work. Coursework portfolios receive regular feedback 5. Opportunities for trips to see science in the world of work What will I Study? AS Units; Analytical Science, Energy and Environment, Health Science How will I be Taught? Lectures take place twice a week. They will involve some teacher led tasks but also independent research tasks and group practical activities. How will I be Assessed? Each of the three units are equally weighted. 2 units are assessed through submission of a coursework portfolio and the other unit is an external exam. What our students say? Our pilot year students have been extremely positive about the course and are looking forward to leading the way into A2.
