Improved opportunities for career advancement and self-development What will I Study? • Project planning, implementation and management approaches (e.g. use of PERT, CPA, Gantt charts, Work breakdown structures) • Project constraints (e.g. scope, time, and cost or finance, time and human resources) – their implications for project management • Planning projects that meet organisational strategy • Project scope and stakeholder analysis • Project outcome and strategic focus • Feasibility and risk assessment, evaluation and management techniques • Managing change and organisational culture • Project management and leadership skills • Identification and communication with stakeholders • Monitoring and reporting on project progress and achievement of milestones and goals • Budget management and variance analysis and reporting skills • Project evaluation and reporting • Using project evaluation to reflect on own performance and skills (CPD) How will I be Taught? This is a 12 week course starting 29 January 2015. Two hour lessons on a Thursday evening from 5:15pm to 7:15pm How will I be Assessed? Identify a complex project in your area of responsibility for your written assignment (75%) and presentation of findings (25%). Written assignment - 4,500 word report on how you planned, led, evaluated, achieved outcomes with reflection on learning. Presentation - 20 minute summary of project What our students say?
