to level 3 What will I Study? Intermediate Level 2 Apprentices will
train as salon juniors as part of the salon team. On completion of
the Apprenticeship, the Apprentice must be able to undertake the
full range of duties appropriate to the job, confidently and
competently. How will I be Taught? The course is delivered in the
College and Workplace and comprises: Level 2 NVQ Diploma in
Hairdressing Functional Skills Maths Level 1- (exempt if Grade A-C
in Maths GCSE) Functional Skills English Level 1-(exempt if Grade
A-C in English Language GCSE) Personal Learning and Thinking Skills
(PLTS) Employment Rights and Responsibilities (ERR) Units: Shampoo,
condition, treat the hair and scalp, advise and consult with
clients, style, cut, colour and finish hair, Health & Safety.
How will I be Assessed? Competence is assessed by practical
observations both at college and in the workplace. Underpinning
knowledge is assessed through completion of on-line multiple choice
tests and oral questioning. Functional Skills are assessed through
on-line tests Award in ERR is covered by workbooks What our
