Description
This course gives the underpinning knowledge to allow a candidate to undertake on site gas experience leading towards ACS assessment. The course covers the gas regulations, ventilation, chimneys, controls, tightness testings and purging. An introduction to domestic gas appliance installations including cookers, water heaters, boilers and gas fires will also be given. The course will be presented using a mixture of practise and theory. A comprehensive course manual will be provided to each course member. In addition to the course, candidates are responsible for sourcing their own 'on the job' training to cover the practical experience required to sit the ACS assessments. In addition to the course, candidates are responsible for sourcing
their own 'on the job' training to cover the practical experience
required to sit the ACS assessments. Although, guidance can be
provided to candidates about where to get this. Original NVQ2
plumbing or plumbing craft/advanced craft certificates will need to
be produced at the interview stage.
