Students should be working at Level 1/2 after an initial assessment has been completed at interview. Those who are not currenlty working at this level with be encouraged to take Functional Skills Maths Part Time first.

Core Skills:

You will cover a range of topics e.g. General Arithmetic, Algebra, Shape and Space , Data Handling

Assessment:

You will sit two exams which are externally assessed at the end of the course in June.

Academic Progression:

Many university courses require A-C grade GCSE Maths.Many vocational course also have this requirement.

Career Progression:

Many employers require Maths GCSE grade A-C at recruitment.
