Personal & Social Development (PSD) These include units such as dealing with problems in daily life, healthy living, managing your own money, managing social relationships, preparation for work, working as part of a team, working towards goals.
Employability skills such as career planning and making applications , contributing to a team and personal skills and Functional Skills in English, Maths & ICT.

Assessment:

You will complete an initial assessment at interview and a diagnostic assessment in each of the 3 functional skills, which will identify those areas where you may have development needs.

You will be awarded credit points towards achieving your qualification It is structured into 3 levels, to enable your achievement to be recognised according to the commitment shown on the course.

Full Description:

This is ideally for those applicants who may have disappointing GCSE results; and be interested in a possible career in hairdressing or beauty therapy.
This exciting new series of qualifications will be offered at a level which best suits your ability of entry to the programme. (14-16 yrs part time, 16 -19 yrs full time)
