How you will gain the qualification
Level 3 is ideal if you currently work directly with clients,
disseminating information and offering advice or guidance. You want
to confirm the skills you currently have as well as fill in any
gaps in your existing skills or knowledge.
You complete three core units at this level:
• Review own contribution to the service
• Support clients to make use of the advice and guidance
service
• Establish communication with clients for advice and
guidance.
You also choose three optional units from a range that
includes:
• Negotiate on behalf of advice and guidance clients
• Liaise with other services
• Facilitate learning in groups.
What qualifications you need
There are no formal entry requirements however you must be
employed in a relevant job which will allow you to complete the
qualification with the full support of your employer.
Candidates should be over 16 years of age.
Where to next
This NVQ will provide a progression to higher levels of qualification such as City and Guilds Advice and Guidance Level 4.
