learn about basic body massage techniques, how to advise clients on
holistic and complementary therapies, aromatherapy massage,
reflexology, holistic facials, clinical services, business
awareness, healthy eating and well-being and anatomy and
physiology. You will also learn about health, safety & hygiene
in the workplace.
You will be expected to participate in additional training days
delivered by experts from the industry.

Essential Skills in Communication and Application of Number Level 2 is an integrated part of the course.
How you will gain the qualification
All qualifications are competence based. You will be assessed throughout the course on your understanding of the theory and your practical skills. Practical assessments are based on your performance when working with paying clients. There are external theory assessments on the underpinning knowledge required for Health, Safety and Hygiene Standards, Indian Head Massage and Anatomy and Physiolgy. Portfolio building is also an integral part of your evidence.
What qualifications you need
You must be aged 16+ and have 4 GCSEs at A* to D or have
successfully completed the Level 2 Beauty Therapy
qualification.
Entry requirements can be waived for mature learners returning to education.
Where to next
Successful completion of this course enables you to progress with your studies by taking the Level 3 Diploma in Complementary Therapies which includes:- Advanced Massage Techniques, Advanced Aromatherapy and Reflexology and Healthy Eating. You can also progress onto a Beauty Therapy route either full time, part time or day release whilst working in the industry.
