Description
Full TimeIn this course you will develop your skills to help you get a job as an early years worker, creche assistant or teaching assistant. You will learn how to care for and educate young children, how to work with parents, carers and other professionals and the development of children. You will also attend a practical placement and study Essential Skills and Wider Key Skills.
How you will gain the qualification
By successful completion of coursework and one external test and passing the placement element of the course.

Where to next
Through successful completion of the course and providing you meet any other pre-conditions e.g. positive attitude, good disciplinary record, you will be able to progress to the Level 3 Childcare course.
