LEVEL 1 DIPLOMA IN VISUAL ART, MEDIA & PERFORMING ARTS
This course is made up of a variety of Art & Design units
and you will develop skills through a range of activities to enable
you to achieve these units. You will experience working in 2D and
3D, such as drawing from observation, painting, CAD, photography,
print making; and in performance. There will be opportunities to
work with practising artists and craftspeople and participate in
cultural and contextual activities and visits to support your
studies.

Each unit is graded pass, merit or distinction and learners are required to achieve a minimum of a pass grade in each unit to qualify for an overall qualification grade.
What qualifications you need
A minimum of 4 GCSEs at grades E or above including one in Art or an art related subject, or the successful completion of a relevant Entry Level qualification and recommendation.
Where to next
If you want to continue and progress with your studies you can take a Level 2 qualification in a similar subject such as Art & Design or Creative Media which will also prepare you for employment in the Creative Industries.
