Visual communication, including lip-reading, gesture and the two-handed fingerspelling alphabet, are also discussed and practised. By the end of the course, students will be able to hold a very basic conversation using BSL, covering topics such as introductions, work, time and dates, hobbies etc.
How you will gain the qualification
The assessments are portfolio based, with a signed assessment in Week 8. Progress will be monitored using an Individual Learning Plan. PROGRESSION OPPORTUNITIES Students can progress on to and develop similar interests and skills with the Signature Level 1 couse.
