Part Time

The course aims to give an understanding of how our sewing machine works. To use it to its full potential, using different machine feet, and sewing techniques and ultimately to be able to make a sample of either a simple pillowcase or cushion, and eventually a bag that demonstrates all techniques learnt.



How you will gain the qualification

The work completed will be assessed at the end of the course with students building a portfolio during the course. Progress will be monitored using an Individual Learning Plan.


What qualifications you need

None. Suitable for complete beginners and those with little knowledge are all welcome.

Agored Cymru accreditation is recognised by colleges in Wales and England. Part time students could progress through a variety of units at different levels, building a portfolio of achievements which could lead onto full time study in fashion and design related courses.
