It will enhance employability and reduce the burden of assessment for future employers when the trainee begins an Apprenticeship programme. - Diagnosing and rectifying electrical faults
- Diagnosing and rectifying transmission & Driveline faults
Teaching and assessment
Computer based On-line testing. Examinations are done on-line with IMI. If required, additional learning support, which is delivered in the motor vehicle environment, is also provided on an individual or group basis to encourage students to gain full benefit from their studies. This course provides the opportunity for successful candidates to progress to other full-time, or part-time study in motor vehicle subjects. Realistic workshop environment, provides all the necessary practical training, in our motor vehicle workshops.
The teaching strategies delivered suit a wide range of learning styles. This includes: Information learning technology (ILT); classroom based delivery; practical tasks; simulated I.L.T. and workshop tasks.
Entry requirements
VRQ Level 2 in Motor Vehicle or equivalent plus Functional Skills or equivalent at Level 1.
