This course is designed primarily for students who have already studied GCSE Maths, but wish to improve their grade to a C or higher. The majority of students will study at Foundation Tier.

- Module 2: Number and Algebra. One hour 15 mins non-calculator exam (33.3%).

Both calculator skills and non-calculator skills are developed throughout the course. As a student in this course, you will experience new approaches to learning mathematics, including substantial e-learning opportunities. You will require a scientific calculator.
Teaching and assessment
Assessment will be by the written exams listed above under course content. There is no coursework component to this course.
Entry requirements
Four GCSEs with three grades of D or higher and one grade of C or higher.
Applicants without a D grade or above in GCSE Maths will be screened prior to enrolment to ensure that they are allocated to a class studying at the appropriate level.
Progression
GCSE Maths allows progression to many level 3 qualifications or above and is a requirement for many degree courses and careers.
