GCSE English - Evenings
General information
The course develops a students ability in writing, reading, speaking and listening. Most students on the course will sit the Foundation Tier, although students showing particular aptitude during the first term will have the opportunity to enter the Higher Tier.
Teaching and assessment
The coursework is set and marked by the class teacher, whose marking is checked by the GCSE English Coordinator and ultimately by the examination board itself. We have a rigorous system of coursework marking moderation. The examination is marked externally by the exam board.
