PRINCE2 is a structured project management method based on experience drawn from thousands of projects – and from the contributions of countless project sponsors, project managers, project teams, academics, trainers and consultants.
A key challenge for organisations in today’s world is to succeed in balancing two parallel, competing imperatives:
- To maintain current business operations, profitability, service quality, CR, brand loyalty, productivity, market confidence etc. what we turn business ‘as usual’.
- To transform business operations in order to survive and
compete in future – looking forward and deciding how business
change can be introduced to best effect the organisation. “CHANGE”,
“TEMPORARY”, “CROSS FUNSTIONAL”, “UNIQUE”, “UNCERTAINTY” are the
unique components of PRINCE2 knowledge that differ PRINCE2 form
business as usual.
- PRINCE2 is a process of planning, delegating, monitoring and controlling undertaken project successfully.
The course runs for 3 hours per week for 15 weeks.
Course Entry RequirementsStudents should have a minimum of two years industrial management experience and be willing to pursue their careers in project management in general and PRINCE2 methods in particular. The course would best suit experienced project managers and personnel who wish to learn about the PRINCE2 method and/or non-graduates, who want a project management career.
The college operates a no refunds policy as detailed below. Cancellations and transfer requests are subject to the following conditions:
- More than 4 weeks notice – no charge
- 4 weeks notice – 30% of the cost
- 2-3 weeks notice – 50% of the cost
- 1-2 weeks notice – 75% of the cost
- Less than 1 weeks notice – 100% of the cost
All cancellations must be made in writing and are subject to a £10 administration charge. The full fee’s policy is available on request.
What will I get at the end of the course?Blackburn College Certificate of Attendance.
The PRINCE2 exams are conducted at accredited PRINCE2 centres throughout the country (Manchester would be the nearest to here although there are also some private organisations who offer the facility).
What can I do next?Progress onto management qualifications. Speak to your course tutor for more information about progression.
