Information Security Management & Network Penetration Testing

Who is the course for?

Information Security Management training is very practical in terms of learning how to test the security posture of an organisation’s network before real hackers do! The training is specifically designed so that attending participants understand methods used by hackers to gain unauthorised access; the course will also teach attendees how to use various hacking tools effectively.

Reconnaissance (Information Gathering):

• Passive network assessment
• Active network assessment
• Management network assessment

Vulnerability Identification:

• Operating system fingerprinting
• Services identifications
• Target identifications

Compromise Target Systems:

• Phishing
• Wi-Fi attack
• Services exploit
• Online password attack
• Offline password attack

Maintain Access

• Netcat
• Remote services

Identify techniques used in covering Tracks

• Application logs
• Log data

How will the course be delivered?

The duration of this course is 3 weeks.

Course Entry Requirements

No entry criteria, all welcome

The college operates a no refunds policy as detailed below. Cancellations and transfer requests are subject to the following conditions:

• More than 4 weeks notice – no charge
• 4 weeks notice – 30% of the cost
• 2-3 weeks notice – 50% of the cost
• 1-2 weeks notice – 75% of the cost
• Less than 1 weeks notice – 100% of the cost

All cancellations must be made in writing and are subject to a £10 administration charge. The full fee’s policy is available on request.
