Gas Utilisation (Installation and Maintainance)

This Apprenticeship offers a combination of qualifications that will equip you with the skills and knowledge you need when working in a job role which focuses on gas with some plumbing elements. You will be working in a variety of environments where your duties could encompass many areas of gas work such as completes, oversees and organises work to install, service, maintain and commission domestic heating systems, components and gas-fired water and central heating appliances.

•Specific core installation and maintenance
•Understand core gas safety principles for natural gas in domestic building services
•Engineering
•Tightness test, purge, commission and de-commission gas pipework up to 35mm 1¼
•Diameter in small natural gas installations

You will be assessed in one or more of the following ways:
•Course work
•Exams
•Oral questioning
•Portfolio of evidence
•Practical demonstration /assignment
•Practical examination
•Written examination

Successful students will achieve a Level 3 Diploma in Gas Utilisation Installation: Cookers, Tumble Dryers, Leisure, Domestic Space Heating, Water Heating, Wet Central Heating & Domestic Warm Air

Level 3 Diploma In Gas Utilisation Installation and Maintenance: Cookers, Tumble Dryers, Leisure, Domestic Space Heating, Water Heating and Wet Central Heating (QCF)
