Fitted Furniture and Interiors

For the skills you need to work in installing fitted furniture and interiors.

This Apprenticeship teaches you the skills you need to install fitted interiors and furniture such as kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms.

There are no specific entry requirements, however you will need to undertake Functional Skills in Maths and English.

You will study Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Fitted Furniture and Interiors. You will also study Functional Skills in Maths and English.

The course covers areas such as:

• Installing fitted furniture in the workplace e.g. cupboards
• Installing basic plumbing e.g. waste pipes
• Working safely and following company procedures
• Interpret drawings and determine the quality/quantity of tools and materials
• Safely moving and handling resources in the workplace.

Apprentices will be assessed in one or more of the following ways:

•Course work
•Exams
•Oral questioning
•Portfolio of evidence
•Practical demonstration /assignment
•Practical examination
•Written examination

Successful candidates will achieve a Level 3 NVQ in Fitted Furniture and Interiors.

Functional Skills

For Level 3 apprenticeship you will need to study Functional Skills in English, and maths at Level 2.
