Practical work will be undertaken. You will work on models to create a variety of different styles and techniques. Theory work is intensive and will require additional self-study to meet deadlines for assignments. A substantial percentage of the course will be delivered online.

- Basic colour correction techniques
- Popular recipes used to restore depth or tone
- Techniques for effectively covering resistant hair
- Neutralising unwanted tones
- Advanced colour correction techniques
- Removing banding
- Pre-pigmenting techniques
- Colour removal
- Re-colouring solutions
- Health and safety
- Advanced Consultation
A variety of external tests and written assignments will be undertaken, which must be word processed and submitted online, following a schedule of graded practical tasks and completion of an E-portfolio.
How will the course be delivered?Through classroom based activities alongside a tutor and other delegates at a similar level.
Course Entry CriteriaThe course is aimed at 19+ learners, who have a good understanding of Level 2 Colouring Skills and Techniques.
The college operates a no refunds policy as detailed below. Cancellations and transfer requests are subject to the following conditions:
- More than 4 weeks notice – no charge
- 4 weeks notice – 30% of the cost
- 2-3 weeks notice – 50% of the cost
- 1-2 weeks notice – 75% of the cost
- Less than 1 weeks notice – 100% of the cost
All cancellations must be made in writing and are subject to a £10 administration charge. The full fee’s policy is available on request.
What will I get at the end of the course?You will receive a City & Guilds Certificate upon successful achievement of the training.
