Functional English for Speakers of Other Languages

These courses are for people who are permanently living or intend to settle in the UK (you must have settled status). It is a general English course designed to help you improve in all four skills: Reading, Writing, Speaking & Listening

Entry Requirements

Before starting the course, we will ask you to complete an initial assessment interview. This will assess your language level and allow us to place you on the correct course.

Delivery & Assessment methods

We believe strongly in a communicative classroom and you will have the opportunity to practise English through pair work, group discussion and role plays, as well as reading and writing activities. You will have the opportunity to take exams in speaking/listening, reading/writing.

Progression

You can progress to the next level or, subject to your English level, join a mainstream college course.
