The qualification’s main aim is to provide candidates with the knowledge and skills to act as Health Trainers, focusing on communicating with individuals in their communities, in order to help them change their behaviour to improve their health and wellbeing and to raise their awareness of health inequalities.

- Communicate with individuals about promoting their health and wellbeing while working as a health trainer
- Enable individuals to change their behaviour to improve their health and well-being while working as a health trainer
Entry Requirements
Students must be working as a Health Trainer in the health care industry in a variety of settings.
Delivery & Assessment methods
Delivery of knowledge in class or your workplace from your allocated Tutor. Allocation of assessor who will assess learner in their place of work. Assessor support in building up a portfolio showing evidence of competence through observation, testimony, accounts and underpinning knowledge.
Progression
In some areas individuals may progress into Senior Health Trainer roles, or other health improvement posts such as smoking cessation, expert patient programme and chronic disease education.
