To develop the practical expertise and background knowledge required to establish a career in the gamekeeping industry.

Entry Requirements

You will need to have achieved the following:

  • Relevant work experience and knowledge of your chosen industry
  • A suitable work placement – we can help to find you one

In addition, it would be helpful if you have the following:

  • GCSEs at grades A–C in English and Maths or equivalent
  • A good reference

  • Monitoring game populations and their natural habitat
  • Production of fertile game eggs
  • Public relations and access within a sporting estate

Functional Skills

You will also gain nationally recognised functional skills qualifications (English and Maths).

What Next?

Apprentices may progress towards a Level 3 course or a full-time programme where appropriate. Career opportunities extend to Beat Keeper or Under Keeper.
