ESOL Pathway L1: Health & Social Care

Who is this course for? ESOL Vocational courses provide ESOL students with the opportunity to continue to improve their language skills and gain a health and social care qualification. What qualifications or experience do I need ? " ESOL Status " Minimum ESOL/Literacy Entry 3 qualification What will I study ? Students will have 6.5 hours health and social care, 5 hours ESOL, including a tutorial of 1 hour. You would also do Functional Skills Numeracy and ICT. How will I be assessed ? Continuous classroom assessment What qualifications could I achieve ? Edexcel ESOL Skills for Life exams in reading, writing speaking and listening. What can the course lead to ? This course will give you a general understanding of the skills needed to work in the Health and Social Care sector and the types of employment available. At the end of the course you could move on to Level 2 or help you on the way to finding employment. How do I join the course ? We will then place you on a course to suit your needs. This may take more than two hours. Are there any extra costs for equipment/materials ? Trip costs may be charged. This will be advised by the tutor. Further Information We expect 100% attendance and punctuality from our students. If your attendance or punctuality falls below 85%, you will be subject to the College's disciplinary procedure.
