Who is this course for? This course is for students that already have their Level 2 Diploma in Hairdressing or an equivalent Hairdressing Qualification It is an appropriate programme for people working in industry. What qualifications or experience do I need ? level 2 Diploma in Hairdressing or equivalent must be completed plus current industrial experience. A personal interview will be required. Level 2 Assessment in Literacy or ESOL / 5 or more GCSE's at grade A - C and the written and trade test at interview. What will I study ? The course will cover the following topics: (5 units to be covered in Year 1) * Monitor procedures to safety control work operations * Promote additional services or products to clients * Provide hairdressing consultation services * Creatively cut hair using a combination of techniques * Colour hair using a variety of techniques * Provide colour correction services * Creatively dress long hair * Develop and enhance your creative hairdressing skills * Contribute to the planning and implantation of promotional activities How will I be assessed ? This programme is assessed by a range of methods, including projects, practical observations, oral questions and external written tests. What qualifications could I achieve ? Units of City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Hairdressing What can the course lead to ? To complete Level 3 Diploma in Hairdressing in Year 2 How do I join the course ? Complete an enrolment form. You will be invited for an interview. Will I need an interview ? Yes, you may be asked to sit a written as well as carry out a trade test. A reference is also required.
