Who is this course for? A student who wishes to study full-time to progress to university courses having recently achieved a range of GCSE and AS qualifications. What qualifications or experience do I need ? 2 AS Levels at grades A-D including this subject. E grades will be considered on an individual basis. GCSE English Language grade B or above. What will I study ? A2 Film Studies specification - 3181 Examining Board - WJEC FM3 - Film Research and Creative Projects FM4 - Varieties of Film Experience - Issues and Debates How will I be assessed ? Assessment will be through: * examination x 1 * coursework x 2 according to the specification of the awarding examining board. What qualifications could I achieve ? On successful completion of this subject, the candidate will gain an A Level certificate in Film Studies. What can the course lead to ? On successful completion of this course, you may progress to a university course of your choosing according to the subjects and grades that you have achieved. How do I join the course ? You must complete a Full-Time application form and make an appointment for an interview with a tutor. References will be required from your previous educational establishment. Will I need an interview ? Yes, before you can enrol. Are there any extra costs for equipment/materials ? Yes, students should be prepared to purchase some text books and DVDs.
