Who is the course for?
This course is for anyone who would like to acquire skills in applying Asian bridal make-up. It may be of interest to people of any cultural background interested in extending the range of special occasions they can apply make-up for.
What are the entry requirements?
None
What will I study?
You will learn the basic principles and skills of carrying out a skin care routine, learn to apply make- up using various techniques and know how to give aftercare advice. The focus will be on make-up suitable for Asian brides but many skills will be transferable to applying make-up for other special occasions
How is the course taught?
The course is taught through demonstration and hands on practice of techniques. Students will practise on each other. Hand outs, reference material and guidance on on-line resources will be used to support learning.
How will I be assessed?
The tutor will observe your practice and mark completed tasks that assess knowledge of theory.
By the end of the course what vocational skills will I obtain?
You will gain some understanding of what it entails to work in the complementary health sector
What materials do I need for the course?
You will need to bring your own products. Do not buy anything before the course as you will be
given advice by the teacher at the first session about what to buy and bring for future sessions.
You will however need to bring 2 towels and cotton wool and cotton buds.
What courses can I progress to after successfully completing this one?
A further beauty course. A course related to setting up your own business.

Fee A

Full Fee (Full fees for courses of 15 weeks or more can be paid in two instalments. You must include the first half with your enrolment)

Fee B

If you are:

• aged 16-18 years old on an accredited course
• on Job Seeker's Allowance or on Employment Support Allowance (Work-Related Activity Group)
• unemployed and in receipt of a means tested benefit (or are dependent of someone who is unemployed and in receipt of a means tested benefit) and sign a Declaration of Intention to enter employment
• aged 19-23 studying for a first full Level 2 qualification and do not already have a full Level 2 qualification or equivalent
• aged 19-24 studying for a first full Level 3 qualification and you do not already have a full Level 3 qualification or equivalent
• studying GCSE English or maths and do not already have a grade C or above
• studying an accredited English or maths course
• studying an entry or Level 1 accredited course and are aged 19-23 and have prior attainment below full Level 2. (This does not apply to ESOL courses)
• taking part in a Family Learning activity

Fee C

Exam fees are non-refundable and payable at enrolment. In some cases exam fees are to be confirmed.
