Introduction

This one year programme intended for students with moderate learning difficulties who are 19+, although the minimum age is actually 16. The course is designed to be a stand-alone course for students looking towards employment, starting work or who are ready to live more independently. You can choose up to four courses, depending on availability, suitability and current level of achievement, (including Functional skills Maths, English or ICT).

What Will I Learn

On this course you will explore different types of foods and cooking techniques, making and preparing meals or items of food based on a theme or to meet the specific requirements.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements, but you will need to show a high level of commitment to the programme. You will need to attend an interview and provide a reference.

Materials charges will apply depending on final craft item and specific materials used.

You may be able to progress through the Entry Levels leading to possible Level 1 courses.
