Progressions - Level 1 Award in Creative Craft using Art and Design

Introduction

This one year programme intended for students with moderate learning difficulties who are 19+, although the minimum age is actually 16. The course is designed to be a stand-alone course for students looking towards employment, starting work or who are ready to live more independently. You can choose up to four courses, depending on availability, suitability and current level of achievement, (including Functional skills Maths, English or ICT).

What Will I Learn

On this course you will explore different types of art media and techniques, making items of work to meet the specific requirements.

• Produce a final item of work

How Will I Be Assessed?

There will be assessments throughout the course and students will be required to complete a folder of evidence.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements, but you will need to show a high level of commitment to the programme.

You may be able to progress through the Entry Levels leading to possible Level 1 courses.
