Introduction

This one year programme intended for students with moderate learning difficulties who are 19+, although the minimum age is actually 16. The course is designed to be a stand-alone course for students looking towards employment, starting work or who are ready to live more independently. You can choose up to four courses, depending on availability, suitability and current level of achievement, (including Functional skills Maths, English or ICT).

What Will I Learn

On this couse you will focus on the using number, measures, shapes and handling data skills to solve practical problems and make calculations at entry level.

How Will I Be Assessed?

There will be assessments throughout the course and a final timed assessment sent to the exam board.

Entry Requirements

You will need to be working at Entry Level 2 and above showing a high level of commitment to the programme. You will need to attend an interview and provide a reference.

The course start date is 1st October and the start time is 5pm

Progression

You may be able to progress through the Entry Levels leading to possible Level 1 courses.
