Introduction

This course is aimed at students with very limited knowledge of bookkeeping. It aims to give you an insight into the world of a Bookkeeper and show you the very basics of how and why processes work.

What Will I Learn

This course is an introduction to the practical elements of financial record keeping which will give you the necessary skills to record financial transactions in a single entry, manual bookkeeping system.

How Will I Be Assessed?

Assessment is by a 1 hour and a half examination.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for the Level 1 Award in Manual Bookkeeping; however, it is recommended that prospective candidates have basic skills in both numeracy and literacy prior to enrolling for this qualification.

Progression

The qualification will provide a basis for progression onto the IAB Level 2 Certificate in Bookkeeping.
