Apprenticeship in Hairdressing (Level 2)

Introduction

This programme will equip you with the core skills required in a salon.

What Will I Learn

This is a practical based course and you will be assessed on your competency to perform core salon services. The theory underpins the practical skills.

How Will I Be Assessed?

You will carry out a range of practical assessments providing photographic evidence. You are also required to collate theoretical evidence in the form of assignments, projects and tests.

Entry Requirements

You will already hold a Level 1 Hairdressing qualification along with a high level of commitment to learning and aspirations to progress into the industry must be displayed.

Additional Information

Students will need to purchase a Hair Kit, uniform and text books at a cost of approximately £250. During the course there will be the opportunity to attend workshops and exhibitions at an approximate cost of £100.

Progression

On successful completion you may go onto an Apprenticeship Level 3 in hairdressing.

Career Opportunities

This vocational qualification is designed to equip you with the practical skills, experience and knowledge within the workplace and you can work as a hairdresser in salons throughout the UK.
