What is the course about?Lots of Songs to Strum along to either to play Solo or to build
up Repertoire to perform in a Group with a view to playing at
Events & Gigs.
The content and outcomes of the course will be discussed with you
and may be adapted to meet your needs and those of the group. As a
guide by the end of the course you should be able to:
Play a number of ensemble pieces within the group
Accompany yourself and others to a variety of songs
Have the opportunity to perform ‘live’ at an arranged gig or within
the class

This course aims to introduce students to a wide range of styles
and different music within the Ukulele world enabling them to
progress and improve their skills & techniques.
Who is the course for and what level is it?
It is for Complete Beginners.
What is your approach?
Students will be taught as a whole group with the use of backing
tracks, CD’s & recording equipment. We usually round up the
last 15 minutes of the evening with a jamming session!

What will I need?
You will have an opportunity to maintain an Individual Learning
Plan and your tutor will discuss your progress and achievement with
you throughout the course.
What will I need for the first session?
A Ukulele
Notebook
Folder for handouts
Pen/pencil
Please bring a packed lunch and any snacks and cold drinks for the
day
Are there any additional costs?
This is discussed and decided at the first session as a class,
depending on the musical taste and ability of everyone in the
class.
