Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
Overview
Workplace candidates who wish to be trained in the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) machine and do have a current first aid certificate.
Prerequisites
Candidates must hold a valid First Aid qualification (minimum of ‘Save a Life’- 2 hour course) and be competent in CPR skills. Must be physically able to carry out the procedures in the course outline.
Delegates will learn how to
Administer first aid training using an automated external defibrillator.

- DRABC check and sending for help
- Defibrillation (recognition of heart rhythms)
