One Day Emergency First Aid At Work L2

Our Intensive First Aid at Work is for people who work in large organisations who have more than five employees in the company. The FAW course will give you extensive First Aid knowldge and will help you be the qualified First Aider in a large organisation for three years. Other courses available at The Adult Learning Academy in Enfield, North London are: Food Safety/ Food Hygiene, Fire Marshal/Fire Warden, Personal Licence Holder (NCPLH), PTLLS, DTLLS, Teaching Assistant, Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW), Paediatric First Aid, Childminding, Health and Social Care, Childcare, ESOL and Driver Instructor Training.

This qualification in First aid has been developed for learners who wish to gain, and apply, the knowledge required to take on the responsibilities of an ‘appointed person’ in the workplace. It is also appropriate for any learner wishing to gain an understanding of the principles of first aid as a life skill. One Day Emergency First Aid for up to 12 members of staff.

Course Description

This First aid course is ideal for anyone and leads to a recognised qualification that has to be renewed every three years. This qualification is ideal for people who work in smaller workplaces that present fewer health and safety risks, where a nominated person is required to take charge in the event of an illness or accident or for a person who works within a large organisation who is responsible for a small group of people or area and provide support to qualified first aiders. The course includes incidents, accidents and injuries commonly occurring in a variety of businesses such as burns, scalds, slips, trips, allergies etc. One Day Emergency First Aid for up to 12 members of staff

Award in Emergency First Aid

How will I be assessed for the First Aid course?
All candidates are continually assessed by the trainer during the course and all successful candidates will be awarded an Emergency First Aid at Work certificate which lasts for a period of 3 years, along with a wallet sized plastic card detailing their qualifications.

What standards do I need in order to join the First Aid course?
You must:
Be able to read and communicate clearly and accurately enough to meet the requirements of the training.

What will I study?

• Treatment of an unconscious casualty

What equipment will I need for the First Aid Course?
