AXELOS (the PRINCE2 accrediting body) has officially changed the name of ‘PRINCE2 2017’ to ‘PRINCE2 6th edition’. The qualification itself has not changed, and still conforms to the 2017 syllabus.

ABOUT THE COURSE

The Practitioner is the second of two examinations that you are required to pass to become a Registered PRINCE2 Practitioner. The examination measures whether a candidate can demonstrate sufficient ability to apply and tailor PRINCE2 to the running and managing of a project. A successful Practitioner candidate should, with suitable direction, be able to start applying the method to a real project. This course conforms to the 6th Edition syllabus.

The aim of PRINCE2 Practitioner course is to ensure that a candidate is able to start and apply the PRINCE2 methond in many cases of real life projects. 

This level of qualification is particularly recommended for Project Managers, It is also relevant for resources working on planning, development and creation of a project, including: project board members, project team members, those in charge of the project assurance, members of the office project, and organisation personnel in general who are involved in projects managed according to PRINCE2.

EXAM FORMAT

The format of the Practitioner exam is as follows:

• 150 minute exam duration
• 68 questions
• Open book (official PRINCE2 manual only)
• 38/68 required to pass = 55% pass mark

Exams are taken online via remote proctor. You will be sent an email invitation within 48 hours of your purchase to register on the Peoplecert portal. Once registered you will be able to book your online exam at a date and time of your choice. You are responsible for booking your own exam.

In order to sit the PRINCE2 Practitioner examination you must provide proof of having passed one of the following:

• PRINCE2 Foundation (or higher) - this only applies to certificates obtained after 1 January 2009
