It embraces the latest information and communications technology skills applied to logistics, and covers global supply chain management business strategies for organisations doing business in the global arena. This programme is one of very few programmes in the UK which has been accredited by both the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) and the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS). Recently, the following developments have been introduced to the programme: membership of CILT and CIPS, visits to industrial locations, seminars given by guest speakers from industry, and collaboration with business partners for dissertation projects.
In the final term, all students will undertake a one week consultant project abroad which is organised by the university. This course has been highly valued by the previous students.
