Description
This course is for all health professionals who may be required to carry out clinical examinations of adult patients. It is a response to changes in the delivery of health care which mean that non-doctor health professionals are taking lead roles in supporting patients who would have previously been cared for by doctors.You will learn how to examine adult patients in a systematic and organised way so that you can identify abnormalities and pathological changes, link these changes to specific disease processes and identify a need for more detailed investigation or referral. You will enhance your communication skills so that you are able to gain a presenting history from the patient, learn to recognise the importance of history taking and making an action plan for focused clinical examinations.
