You will learn how to examine adult patients in a systematic and organised way so that you can identify abnormalities and pathological changes, link these changes to specific disease processes and identify a need for more detailed investigation or referral. You will be required to make sense of clinical findings and therefore you will already possess a good understanding of anatomy, physiology and pathology.
You will enhance your communication skills so that you are able to gain a presenting history from the patient, learn to recognise the importance of history taking and making an action plan for focused clinical examinations.
