Pro Tools is an application that can run on either PC or Mac, and records both audio and MIDI data. Because of its highly respected recording capability, in terms of sound quality and plugins such as effects, processors and musical instruments, as well as extreme flexibility of use across numerous computer setups from small notebooks right through to full blown mega powerful digital audio workstations, it is used extensively by professionals within the industry. Why Should I Attend the Pro Tools Tutorial?

Although music production applications such as Cubase or Logic are very popular amongst both home and semi-professional users, if you are considering working or getting involved in music production as a sound engineer, or producer it is vital that you have a solid understanding on getting the best out of this program, as mentioned above, so many professionals use it as their number one application, and the Pro Tools Tutorial will provide you with that all important knowledge.

What is covered in the Pro Tools Tutorial?

The Pro Tools Tutorial goes through becoming familiar with the overall use of the application in terms of its layout and navigation throughout the various pages, the process of recording MIDI data, and audio, both real instruments as well as soft synths. Once you have some tracks down you will then move onto editing, including setting up accurate start and end points for the purpose of looping an audio part, correcting any mistakes in terms of timing or musical note errors. Then you will cover the use of plug-ins including effects such as reverberation, echo, spatial audio, and processors – compressors and noise gates. This leads on to mixing, where you will become familiar with equalization, sends and returns, grouping, automation, bouncing down, and much more.

There is a maximum of 2 people per workstation so you will get plenty of practical experience in using Pro Tools

The Pro Tools Tutorial is £300 on its own or £270 if purchased together with another course.
