The aim of the course is to give staff a greater understanding of fire risks
within the workplace and also the opportunity to learn about different types
of extinguishers and how to use them correctly.
What will you learn?
On conclusion of the course students will have a better understanding of the
following subjects and will have had the opportunity to have put out a live
fire with an extinguisher.
- Role and responsibilities of staff within the workplace
- Fire routines and evacuation procedures
- The Law relating to fire safety
- Basic fire risk assessment
- Common causes of fire
- Chemistry of fire and how fire spreads
- Theory and practical use of extinguishers.
