Times: Full-time Duration:1 Year Fee: Under 24 year old : £750
Full-Time courses for 16-18 School Leavers are Free.
If you are aged between 19 and 23 and you don’t have a qualification equivalent to 2 A Levels, tuition fees will be waived. If you meet the Eligible Benefit criteria AND are aged 19-23, tuition fees will be waived. Tuition fees will not be waived for students aged over 23 studying a Level 3 or higher course, however these students may qualify for a 24+ Advanced Learning Loan.

work as a senior administrator/legal secretary. The course is
particularly relevant for those with a basic knowledge and
understanding of administration but not necessarily the skills
required and who want to develop those skills in the legal sector.
Units covered within the Diploma are:-
Advanced Legal Word Processing
• Use word processing software to create business and complex legal
documents
• Transcribe business and complex legal documents from audio
Business Skills
• Understand the structure of the legal system and the legislation
affecting the individual in a legal office
• Understand the use of different information and communication
equipment and systems in a legal office
• Understand the importance of continuous improvement within a
legal office
• Understand the importance of effective team working within a
legal office
• Plan or co-ordinate an event
Advanced Proofreading in the Legal Environment
• Proofread legal and business documents to identify and correct
errors
Advanced Legal Information Processing
• Use advanced spreadsheet software features to manipulate and
present data in the legal environment
• Use database software to manipulate and present data in the legal
environment
• Produce an integrated file using word processing and spreadsheet
or database applications
Entry Qualification: 4 GCSEs grades A-C including English Language
or relevant work experience or assessment by interview. Experience
of word processing software. Course Format: The course will be
taught via classes, tutorials and workshop practice. Assessment
will comprise of portfolio building, assignments and an externally
set proofreading examination. Progression: Upon completion of the
course you are equipped to gain employment within a legal or
business environment.
