- Understanding the importance equal opportunity and diversity
- Client care
- Staff codes or practice or HR handbooks.
- Understanding software, hardware and communications equipment from IT perspective.
- How to teamwork
- Understanding budgets and other objectives
- Explanation of management styles
- Filing and maintenance of records
- How to control time management
From Day 3 the focus is more managerial
- Explain the role of the office manager
- Introduction to management theory and its practical application
- How to teamwork and work with colleagues
- Coaching staff to improved output. How to measure office work from others and your staff
- Allocation of resources in office.
- Setting objectives and wider targets
- Managing stress
- High level project planning
- Effective delegation
- Collating feedback for objectives and appraisals
- Effective conflict and relationship management
- Developing the ability to problem solve
- Systematic decision making
- Handling issues and developing the ability to solve them.
Dates and Duration
5 day course from Monday to Friday. The course runs from 10:30 - 16:30. There is an assessment to close the last day.
