Course overview Who is it for?

Valuable for those who need to set up and manage complex projects or who are involved in large-scale project work, and are looking for a best practice methodology.

What is it about?

The Practitioner level qualification provides all the tools you need to become a PRINCE2® expert and includes the foundation level qualification.

It is an intensive five day programme that incorporates the management of project risk, maintenance of effective communication channels and control of spend within budget. Attention will be given to practical participation in a case study encompassing the most essential elements of a PRINCE2® project.

The course is accredited through the OGC and based on the 2009 version of the PRINCE2® manual.

The PRINCE2® is a Registered Trade Mark of the Office of Government Commerce in the United Kingdom and other countries.

This comprehensive programme covers all elements of the PRINCE2® syllabus, including:

• Relationship between the business case, programmes and the project

• PRINCE2® Principles - continued business justification, learn from experience, defined roles and responsibilities, manage by stages, manage by exception, focus on products and tailor to suit the needs of the project environment

• PRINCE2® Processes - starting up a project, initiating a project, directing a project, controlling a stage, managing product delivery, managing stage boundaries, closing a project and planning

• PRINCE2® themes - business case, organisation, progress, quality, risk and plans

• Practitioner examination techniques

PRINCE2® (Project IN Controlled Environments - version two) is the de facto standard in project management in the UK and internationally across all sectors of industry. It is awarded by the Association of Project Managers Group (APMG).

The practitioner qualification is assessed by a 2.5 hour multiple choice exam paper. All delegates attending the PRINCE2® programmes will receive pre-read materials (before the course); an official PRINCE2® textbook; and relevant workbooks, handouts and assessments. All assessments, administration fees and course materials are included in the cost of the programme.

Please note that the APMG require every candidate's identification to be verified by the examination invigiator. You may be required to produce some photographic identification before being allowed to take the exam.
