Engineering Apprenticeships in Northumberland/Newcastle

What do you want to learn, change or accomplish?

I am currently studying environmental science part time at the open university. I wish to combine this with engineering through some sort of apprenticeship if possible. I am wondering where to look for apprenticeships in my area of Northumberland/Newcastle?

Why are you interested in this?

Environmental issues are an increasing concern on a global scale, therefor a big job demand will increase in this sector opening a number of opportunities along with the engineering side of the environment. My target is to become an environmental engineer for an international company.

How do you want the course or program to be set up?

I would preferably take on a apprenticeship rather than studying at an university. This is due to the fact that I cant afford to take on another course as i am struggling to make much money.
